PawsportPrivacy
Pawsport plans trips. This page says what it keeps, where, and why — in plain words. The short version: most of your trip lives on your phone; the server keeps only what a feature you use needs; nothing is sold, and there is no advertising or tracking.
No account, no tracking
Pawsport doesn't ask for your name, email or phone number to use it. Your phone makes a random identifier the first time it opens, and the server knows you only by that. There are no ads, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics.
What stays on your phone
Your trips, stops, notes, bookings, expenses, photos you attach, your packing list, your logbook and your passport details (which country it's from, and its expiry date if you add it) are stored on your device. Your photo library is only read on your phone, to match photos to the places on a trip you planned; photos are not uploaded for this.
What the server keeps, and why

Who else sees what
Pawsport uses a few services to do its job, and sends each only what that job needs:
- AI providers — the text of a request (for example "5 days in Kyoto, mostly food", a booking confirmation you import, or a plan you paste from another assistant) is sent to the AI model that answers it. For entry rules, only the two countries are sent, to a model that searches official sources. When you ask about a trip, the trip's plan, the hotels and bookings for its dates and — during the trip — your rounded position go with the question, so the answer can be about where you are and where you are staying. None of it is sent with your identifier.
- Place and map data — place names are looked up with OpenStreetMap (Nominatim and OpenFreeMap), Wikipedia/Wikimedia and Google Places, for search, maps, opening hours and photos.
- Email — forwarded confirmations arrive through our email provider, AgentMail.
- Trip.com — when you tap a link to book a stay, flight, train, bus, eSIM or airport transfer, you go to Trip.com through Pawsport's server. Trip.com sees your visit as coming from Pawsport, and Pawsport may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. What you book there is covered by Trip.com's own privacy policy. Pawsport doesn't send Trip.com anything about you beyond the search itself (the place and dates).
- Apple — purchases are made and managed by Apple. Pawsport receives a confirmation that you have Pro, never your payment details.
Anything you share on purpose — a trip link, a group invite, a guide, a cat — is visible to the people you share it with, or to everyone if it is public.
Your choices
- Delete a trip, booking or cat in the app and it is deleted from the server too.
- Stop sharing your location from the group at any time.
- Sign out any browser from Plan on the web in the app.
- To erase everything the server holds for your phone, open your profile in the app and tap Delete my data. It happens straight away. Groups you share with other people stay for them, without you in them, and expenses you added stay in their split. Your trips on the phone are kept until you delete them there. If you have Pro, tap Restore to bring it back.
Children
Pawsport is not directed at children under 13.
